OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE AWESOME!

We have clergy, teachers, parents, retirees, nurses, stay-at-home moms, lawyers, accountants and college students. Our oldest counselor is 80 (something) and the youngest is 18 or a high school graduate. Most are not trained in theology, but they are open with the children about their own personal walks with God. The common thread is that they all give a week or two to the service of God and the care and feeding of the young people in our diocese!

VOLUNTEERS ARE ADULTS OF ALL AGES

We love having the energy and enthusiasm of young adults, and like how they are close in age to the campers,  but we also want the experience and expertise that the older adults may bring.  These older adults can model what it means to be an adult Christian and Episcopalian.    Having a wide range also helps more honestly show the kingdom of God - with all of our differences.  We are proud to support multi-generational programs!

OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE PARENTS

Because we have parent age counselors, we also have a place for their children (who are too young to be campers).  This is called the pumpkin patch.  These children spend most of the time with the rest of the camp, but they have their own cabin, their own counselors, and sometimes get to spend time doing their own thing.  This way their parents can truly focus on their own cabins.
